MCS53A designed according to API Plan 53A,API Plan 53A uses an external reservoir to provide external pressurized liquid (barrier liquid) for arrangement 3 Seals.
Technical Features:
- This system is used in applications where process media leakage to the atmosphere is not allowed. It is suitable for toxic, hazardous, and non-volatile process media.
- The system uses an external gas source to pressurize the barrier fluid reservoir. The barrier fluid pressure is maintained 0.14-0.41MPa higher than the seal chamber pressure. Minor leakage of barrier fluid into the process system may occur.
- The reservoir features integrated heat exchange with water cooling. The barrier fluid circulates from the seal chamber through the pumping ring, returns to the reservoir for cooling, and recirculates back to the seal chamber.
- The system is equipped with venting or flare connection.
- The system can be equipped with pressure, level, and temperature sensors based on user operating conditions and requirements.
